U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS – HUNTSVILLE
Completion: | Oct 2017 |
Square Footage: | 1.2 million SF |
Contract Value: | $70 Million |
The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) is located at Fort Hood, Texas. It plays a critical role in the daily medical health of over 200,000 services members, their families and retirees. Walsh Healthcare Logistics (WHL) was responsible for all aspects of the Initial Outfitting and Transition Planning (IO-T) process, including project management, planning, procurement, warehousing, delivery and installation of 30,000 new pieces of furniture, furnishing and medical equipment. The new 947,000 SF medical facility, which is approximately 60 percent larger than the existing 50-year old hospital, specifically addresses Fort Hood’s most pressing needs in the areas of behavioral health, medical/surgical specialty clinics with a BSL-3.
WHL comprises of the same three organizations (Walsh, Genesis, and LMI) previously known as Military Healthcare Outfitting and Transition (MilHOT, DUNS 961752594) and was the prime contract holder on the CRDAMCR project.
WHL administered training for all installed equipment and provided world class transition management services to relocate the staff, patients and equipment associated with the new military healthcare and medical research facility of CRDAMC. WHL joined forces with the Project Delivery Team on-site to ensure that the quality of care to CRDAMC’s patients and operations would not be interrupted during any phase of the process.
Through constant and continuous collaboration with the government representatives, WHL was able to work its way through key areas of the facility to include; Operating Rooms, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pharmacy and other key hospital areas installing, calibrating and testing critical equipment.
U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS – HUNTSVILLE
Completion: | Oct 2018 |
Sites: | 22 Clinics |
Contract Value: | $15 Million |
The Community Based Primary Care Clinic (CBPCC) projects are a Vice Chief of Staff of the Army (VCSA) initiative to locate primary care clinics in communities where Soldiers and their families live.
In support of the Army Medical Department, Indatatech was a key subcontractor of the Walsh Healthcare Logistics (WHL) on this outfitting and activation project. WHL comprises of the same three organizations (Walsh, Genesis, and LMI) previously known as Military Healthcare Outfitting and Transition (MilHOT, DUNS 961752594) and was the prime contract holder on the CBPCC project.
This project included 22 clinics located in high patient population areas near U.S. Army bases to promote ease of patient accessibility, patient centered, primary care team based, and quality focused.
Each clinic is modeled after the U.S. Army Medical Command “franchise” model so that no matter where families are stationed, the medical treatment facilities they are empaneled, will be familiar.
Each clinic, averaging 12,000 SF each, features general healthcare services including Women’s Health, Pediatric Care, Sports Physicals and School Immunizations, Minor Surgeries, Laboratory Services, and a Pharmacy.
The U.S. Army Medical Command has realized a tremendous positive response to these community clinics and there are current plans to continue to expand more sites and healthcare options to the Soldiers, their families, and open services to the retired community.
